Cookie Policy
How JB GROCERS LLP uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you control them.
Last updated: 30 June 2026
This is a template for guidance and not legal advice — have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files, and similar local-storage technologies, placed on your device when you visit a website. We use them to operate the site securely, remember your preferences, and — only with your consent — to understand usage. This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. Consent — non-essential cookies are opt-in
Consistent with the DPDP Act, 2023 consent principles, on your first visit we show a consent banner. Only strictly-necessary cookies are set before you choose; all other categories are blocked until you opt in. You can choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage to set categories individually.
3. Cookie categories we use
Strictly necessary
- Set before consent: Yes (exempt)
- Purpose: Session management, authentication, CSRF protection, load-balancing and recording your cookie choice.
- Examples: session, csrf_token, cookie_consent
- Retention: Session / up to 12 months (consent record)
Functional / preferences
- Set before consent: No — opt-in
- Purpose: Remember language and interface preferences.
- Examples: pref_*
- Retention: Up to 12 months
Analytics / performance
- Set before consent: No — opt-in
- Purpose: Understand aggregate usage and page performance to improve the site.
- Examples: Analytics identifiers (provider to be finalised)
- Retention: Up to 13 months
Marketing / targeting
- Set before consent: No — opt-in
- Purpose: Campaign attribution and measurement (planned for the future).
- Examples: None set at present
- Retention: Up to 13 months
As our analytics tooling is finalised, this page will list each individual cookie with its provider and duration.
4. Managing your consent
You can change your choice at any time by reopening the cookie banner from the link in the site footer, or from Account Settings → Privacy. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it; non-essential cookies stop being set once you opt out. Your consent choice is recorded (categories, timestamp and version) and is re-requested periodically (about every 12 months).
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools and obligations evolve. The current version is indicated by the “Last updated” date above.
